Credits FAQ

What is a credit?

A credit is how paid data is counted on dachecker.io. 1 credit opens 50 more backlinks or 50 referring domains. Past the first 1,000 links of a site, 1 credit opens 100. A credit costs $0.20 when you buy it, and every plan includes some each month.

Who can buy credits?

Anyone with an account, including the free plan. You do not need a subscription to buy credits or to use the backlink checker with them.

Do bought credits expire?

Credits you buy on Plus, Agency or Unlimited never expire. On Free or Basic they last 30 days from purchase. If you move to Plus or above before they run out, they stop expiring too.

Which credits are used first?

Your plan's monthly credits are always used first. Once they run out, bought credits are used, starting with the ones that expire soonest. Credits that never expire are used last.

Do monthly plan credits roll over?

No. The credits included in your plan renew on your billing date each month, and unused ones do not carry over. Bought credits are separate and follow the expiry rules above.

What happens if a check fails?

The credit goes straight back to your balance. You only pay for data that actually loads, and opening a page you already paid for is free.

Can I get a refund on credits?

Unused bought credits can be refunded within 7 days of purchase, the same window as our refund policy. Credits already spent are not refundable, because that data was delivered.

Do DA, DR and TF checks use credits?

No. The DA, DR and TF checkers have their own free daily checks and monthly plan limits. Credits are only for backlinks, referring domains, Ahrefs backlinks and Semrush checks.

How do Ahrefs backlinks work with credits?

The free Ahrefs Data check on the backlink checker shows Ahrefs' top 20 links. In your dashboard, under Ahrefs backlinks, 5 credits open 50 backlinks from Ahrefs' index, with the DR and UR of every linking page, dofollow or nofollow, and the date Ahrefs first saw the link. Opening the same report again within 24 hours is free.

How do Semrush checks work with credits?

Each domain you check on the Semrush checker is one check, and 1 credit buys 4 checks. If you check 1 domain, 1 credit is used and the other 3 checks wait on your account for next time. A domain that fails to load gives its check back.
